The ink turns into microscopic particles that embed themselves into the object's surface. The ink will sublimate and turn into a gas that seeps into and becomes part of the surface of your object, like a sublimation tumbler, shirt, or other sublimation blank. Unlike other printing methods that attach your design over the top of a surface, sublimation printing embeds your dyes on a deeper level, creating amazing, vibrant designs that won’t crack or peel off.
Epoxy is a generalized term for what is referred to as the “cured” end result of hardening from 2 different types of resin: two part resin or UV resin. The two part resin— typically used for tumblers—is mixed together carefully then applied to the blank substrate. With personalized tumblers, the hardened, food-safe, shiny coating is the epoxy covering the beautiful glitter and vinyl designs. Typically, the stylish 4 color pens are covered with UV resin that is hardened by using a UV light, or a combination of both types of resin.
